Calling Me

I’m opposite you, holding back,
The calm summer night, lets me hear your words,
You’re like an angel on attack,
Waving your wings at me like a beautiful bird.

Whispering, softly to me,
Come closer, come closer,
Once there with you I’ll be a detainee,
How will you get me to come over?

I have to give it to you,
You stopped me on my way,
Simply walking on through,
Such an enticing offer you portray.

With the moon at your back,
So bright and true,
You might think I’ll crack,
But I’m just passing through.

Like slow motion, you beckon me to come,
With your long wavy hair and wandering eyes,
Thankfully your look makes me feel numb,
I’m coming with you, don’t look so surprised.
