Heart with Wings

written by: Sagarika

Birds were chirping and singing my name..
Sunrays brightened my room..
Broken pieces of colourful glass bangles were shining on the floor,
Skillfully done Peacock tattoo peeped from my blood stained hands,
The red vermillion on my head now matched his fingerprints across my cheeks..
I looked up to the flying birds and
took my heavily embroidered bridal scarf
Tightly clasped his hands and
Then I stood and spread my wings and was soaring high and high...
Waiting for my new Sunshine...
