Holding On

written by: Evelyn

@sanepoet

when all you have is faith

and the storms, they rage
you see the rainbow at the end
and you sleep and rest
and find refuge in a word

the sheer belief

and you anticipate the spring
the flowers, the fruits
because underneath, in darkness
you planted the seed

the mere utterance

and you hold on to the raw
the words and the visions
because it was mentioned
by the unaltered, timeless words

it is faith

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Faith starts with knowing the truth and holding on to the promises according to the nature of the promise-Giver, building on with trust and hope.

I'm just Evelyn.

I see an immense amount of beauty and destruction in the universe, and I believe that everything has a deeper meaning if we only care to look closer.

I always have a poem waiting in the pocket of my mortal jeans.
