I Wonder

written by: Genie Nakano

A gray dove flies
Under a cloudy sky
I am secured
Under her wing
The dove’s heart beats
Faster and faster
We go higher
Blue, Azul, indigo

Underneath
Warm and soft
A down of comfort
And I wonder
I doubt
How many questions
Can one ask
I wonder
Dove wraps me tighter
Heartbeat soothes
Pulses into mine
How high can we fly
Is this a dream
I wonder

Invisible
Light and sound
Go through me
Not a woman any more
But I am here
Can you hear me
I wonder

The mist
Warm inviting
Surround sounds
Until I can’t hear

Imagine a world

Beyond
Human senses
What is the ninth sense
I wonder

See invisible
Taste air
Smell seasons
Hear memories
Present
Presence
Touch
Move
Everything
Everyone
Everywhere
Open
Wonderful
Wonder
Full
