Lost Between The Lines
written by: Rachel Tremblay
Under heavy layers of mud
blankets, legos and stardust
Sunflower seeds and books
diapers, training wheels and report cards
I was never lost
Yet are we not continually finding ourselves?
Through the forest of laundry
dog walks and sex
Breakups, travel and garden trowels
Music, childbirth and errands
Lost between the lines of a poem
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
In a state of constant movement with the responsibilities of family life, being grounded and holding onto our identity and integrity can be a spiritual struggle. Sometimes we become a little erased, abstract, like that feeling you get when you grasp poetry.
