Approaching the calmness of your body,
Slowly the steps take me forward,
The air is no longer foggy,
Making me not fear like a coward.
The songbirds welcome my arrival,
Your arms fall down and attempt to hold you,
You know I am not your rival,
Your mind knows who I give reference to.
Allow this love to be new,
Lift your arms and pick me up,
The stillness of you will let me through,
Let me drink from your depths with my loving cup.
Cold! Cold! Your love was at first,
Throwing me in you was a surprise,
Being with you stops my thirst,
Choosing me to be part of you was not unwise.
