Shoah

written by: Uslariono

Everything is gray, the sky, the earth
clouds, moons and stars
even the faces, once smiling
which now look death masks
cold marble gray

No noise and not silence
But if an infinite vibration
from the center of the earth itself
that stuns, overwhelms and quiets

Thousands of shadows, ramble
calm, waiting for death
That awaits them both
and other fast leads

Sometimes they think that their punishment is life
far from all hope, dignity and certainty
That there is something more than his bed
the roaring furnace, pinstripe suit
or the honor of knowing the chosen people
