  1. Where, do you hail from?

I was born in Guthrie, OK and currently live 15 miles to the south in Edmond, OK.

  1. What is the greatest thing about the place you call home?

Despite the economic and population growth of the last 25 years, I truly enjoy the ‘small town charm’ that we have clung to here in Edmond.

  1. What turns you on creatively?

I love sharp wit and wordplay or word games. The mental exercise gets the creative juices flowing and then magic can sometimes appear in the turn of a phrase.

  1. What is your favorite word, and can you use it in a poetic sentence?

My favorite word happens to be ‘word’! But used as in the first verse of the opening chapter of the Gospel of John, ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.’

  1. What is your pet peeve?

My number one pet peeve would have to be the lazy spelling and lack of grammar that is used in text messages these days.

  1. What defines Dedhedpoet?

I believe if one wants to find out who they are in this moment, we need only to look at the faces of those around us. When love and peace are all that looks back at us, we have found the truth of who we are.
