The Poet and The Light

On the cold, brittle morning of September 28th, 2018, at 6:50 a.m. PST, in a hospital room in Southern California, this account of a divine affair was bled into the pages of forever:

The clouds in the sky gloomed wet and gray as a thousand angels sang a mourning song for one of their own. The uncontainable sorrows of the winged drenched below with a pain new and unknown to them. Then, a bright beam flashed from the heavens! The light punched through the gathering gloom and tightened upon that hospital room.

In that room and at that exact moment, the beloved Poet Mr. Andres Delgado De León took his last breath.

He then embraced his Mother as she guided him by the hand towards that heavenly beam. He floated away like a balloon filled with an angelic glow. Up and up, the balloon was seen fighting the gray as it cut thru the other side…to God’s pure blue sky.

He was greeted with a thousand divine embraces as he again joined the winged. His true home.

The poet slept and was in no pain when that room filled with a dozen raining angels, next to his beloved wife, Lydia.

Still waving goodbye to him are five daughters, two sons and a multitude of grandkids and great-grandkids that will miss him dearly.

As he walked towards the light, he also touched my empty heart with all his love and bruised it with a new darkened vast it had yet to feel.

One day, your hand will be the one guiding me to the light.

Thank you for your words to the world. Travel well, Poet.
