With crystal clear clarity,
I have witnessed the truth.
It slithered in like a serpent,
Uncaring and uncouth.
Sneaking into my heart,
Telling me what I wanted to hear,
Yet holding me arms length,
So as to not let me near.
Secrets you kept,
While uttering your lies.
Now you smile cruelly,
As I unveil your demise!
You spitefully laugh,
As I wipe my tears,
Confirming that my thoughts,
Have now become my fears!
You cannot love,
Only deceive!
Now the truth,
I clearly perceive!
Everything I come to believe,
Destroyed in the blink of an eye
All because I could not see,
You were nothing but a lie!
There is nothing special about me. I am me.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
