written by: Dr. MOLLY JOSEPH

like tears
         in the rain
they fade

the stories
             you built
to grow into...

the dreams
           you wove
to flee into...

the faces
          you sought
as rope heads
              to cross
the abyss.....

the paths
             you trod
to get
           the grass
was greener...

the smiles
        that cheered

like tears
          in the rain
they fade

    the arid plain
           lilies once
