Twinkling

My back begs for the sofa,
to drape vertebrae over cushions, future fossil me,
but my eyes and more keep walking around the development,
waiting for the dark and the timer,
the constellation of buildings,
yellows, whites, bright bulb stars,
then,
each minor god turns on their
personal celestial sky,
flat-screen supernovas,
white dwarves wearing lampshades and
party lights hung in #9 that look
like mini liquor bottles.
