2 Lovely Songbirds

written by: Anne G

Sunday morning

as I slept

I was awoken

by a trill

The sweet

of dawn

Notes of music

floated on

the morning breeze

I caught a glimpse

from where I lay

2 lovely songbirds

on my sill

They tweeted

their melodious tunes

from tiny beaks

vibrating throats

Nature's call

sweet serenade

sounds of music

fill the world

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
