A Memo To The Kingdom of Love

A Memo to the Kingdom of Love

written by: Norberto Franco Cisneros

Miracles and saints come and go
but saints remain in heavenly dreams
in life we control our lives if we’re diligent
regrets and memories control the past

Fate governs our lives
as millennia determine history
but being genuine decides much in our life
though the truth is life takes away much more

Men do not control time
but we love to control loved ones
as if we were timeless and drunk with power
we possess the world of love in our hands

Our lives forever chase love’s elusive emotion
that clings to the bare heart
as an aromatic fragrance clings
to an orchard of gardenias in bloom

As long as I’m free to pursue the sweet smell of you,
to love, to give, to cry, to laugh
to forgive, to accept you in your primal essence
together reveling in destinies yet to be lived

In our kingdom of love, I am a happy man.
