A New Love Interest

I know that I’m probably making a fool out of myself again
In the same way, I’ve done so many times before
This feeling that I have, which I’m hoping is reciprocated
I may be crazy for being interested in you, but it won’t be the first time
I’ve ever been rejected and deemed to be the loser in this dating game
I fully expect to get the same result I have previously,
But for the time being, you’re my new love interest,
And if this, whatever it may or may not be, bites the dust and goes nowhere
I’ll probably go back into my shell and not come back out for a long time
