A Strange Evening

written by: Shade

Texture like mild sun, of the bright sky,
Shines softly, the evening sly
Baffles me quite, her smile so wry,
Teasing caress of the cold breeze so dry.

Beaten path with a carpet of leaves,
Mask of wilderness to the path it gives,
"Tread away" we hear the autumn humming,
She smiled and whispered "winter is coming".
