A Way Away Kiss

A Way Away Kiss

written by: J. Maciel Costa

Kiss that doesn’t come

The best piece of heaven falls.
Restless and cold
Mute the singing,
Sink mountains
And lift the sea
Just because the imagined kiss
The enchanted future
It’s a love that hasn’t arrived yet.

Notice that today the planet cries,
Words fail
And happiness takes time;
Men, by virtue,
Heed in stillness
Fearing the long-distance
And how close is the silence
Of a love that has not yet arrived.

Love is the fruit
From a wandering dream
A lukewarm heat
Distant
From your trembling lip.

Writing is a childhood pleasure. I have been a manager, economist and teacher all my professional life. But... the pleasure for writing, the bitterness of had been robbed of my sketches of literary works, led me to return to writing and editing some of the literature that, in my hours of leisure and most joy, I write.
