AI Counterfeits the Moon

AI Counterfeits the Moon

written by: Charlie Bottle

The one percent would counterfeit the moon,
if they could, and sell it by the yard,
“Buy it for the atmosphere, you should!
The quiet ambience, the solitude,
the barren silence would do you good,
to live alone, outside Earth’s hood.”

“Don’t worry about the rest!” they’d say,
“A self-contained home to pass the day,
a moon buggy with lights to show the way,
you’ll be closer to God, no need to pray,
food in food bins and water to stay,
just make sure! You have enough to pay.”

Counterfeit our existence and our lives,
make us work low wages, to survive,
when we’re sad, they ask, “Where’s your drive?”
Then sell us a book called “Survive Five to Nine, Nine to Five.”
The Tech Bros, if they could,
would counterfeit our lives, they would!
Using AI with its polyonymous brood.
