An Ode To The Moon

As I lay atop the mountain
reminiscing of my past rendezvous,
those visions have been a product
of Your conjuring, my lovely Moon.
The reflection of Your glistening armor
brings glory to the stars.
Your supreme reign is before us,
during the darkest of hours.
Such beauty unseen before
provoking unrest in the Ocean,
His endless cry for your hand
creates a new peninsula.
As anger overcomes him,
He will never possess Your grace.
Oh, sweet Moon
nor the Mighty ocean,
nor we, the humans,
will get the chance to hold you, naked in our palms.
