Astronomical Dust

Astronomical Dust

Barbed wire cobwebs,
the fancy needlework
of several hours,
stretch twilight’s muscles,
secure the park’s tranquility.

Dusk’s dream catchers
filter dark fantasies
before a green flash of small feet
rediscovering nature’s playground,
rip the delicate strands of lace
with untied shoes.
Destroying in seconds
a split pattern
no one else will ever see.

A lost masterpiece of
astronomical dust.
