Annie Fox lives on the Gulf with her husband and two kids, three pups, seven finches, and about a thousand books, and teaches writing at the University of West Florida. Her essays and poems have appeared in Journal of Veterans Studies; Journal of Multimodal Rhetorics; Lore; Florida English Journal; More Than Thought; Room of One’s Own; and other publications. She’s writing a memoir, On Our Way Home: An American Adoption Story, in Stanford’s Creative Nonfiction Certificate Program. She likes exploring nontraditional forms, and her memoir is a narrative collage, composed of memory, essay, poetry, reflection, research, photography. The text is arranged in segments, non-linear, that explore the topic of adoption through multiple standpoints, multiple genres -- "(which) replicates memory, the way memory itself is fractured" (Rebecca Makkai, I Have Some Questions for You).
