Bearing Fruit

Bearing Fruit

written by: Dawn DeBraal

On the highest branch of the tallest tree
A lonely pear still clings,
The workers missed it in the harvest,
And now new hope it brings.

For when the pear has finally fallen
Landing on the ground.
It rots and opens, spilling seeds
For another tree is bound.
