I gave my hand

my name is Anne.
To those I met and liked real well
a salutation and big smile,
so glad to see you
once again.
Ah!, but to those I loved with all my heart
a kiss, embrace, my gratitude,
because of you
my life was rich.
When I should leave
this corporeal plane
to all I’ll bid
a fond farewell, a parting wish.
To those I met along the way,
I truly liked and loved so well
good-bye, so long,
I wish you well.
