Before The Sea

Before the Sea

written by: Gautham Pradeep

Between waves,
a sound is trapped.
Trickling into the shore,
until the eye opens.
Shore stares into itself,
melting into the swell.
Churning of time,
under the twilight bloom.
Memory coats the seashell,
under the tumbling wave.
Repeating in unison,
mirage creeps in blue.
Forbidden song of morning,
blown to shore.
From shore to mountain,
a single wave tumbles.
The moon, trees and the moment,
hiding between waves.
An eroded seashell,
watches itself in eternal motion.
Cloud over the swell,
suffocating.
Gentle trickling,
a seashell remains.
