Behind Glassy Eyelids
written by: Jacek Wilkos
Your hair covered with snow.
Your eyes like sparkles trapped in ice.
Your hands so warm in this cold world.
Your smile whiter than the purest snow.
Somewhere in the fog,
somewhere in the whiteness,
somewhere in the distance,
behind glassy eyelids.
Little icicles on my face,
traces from my eyes.
I lower my head.
Your footprints in the snow
running beyond the horizon,
far away from me,
being buried by the wind.
