BEING A LISTENER

written by: Parminder Kaur

Everyone on the globe adores to be heard and hesitates to hear,
Is it too complicated which is hard to bear?
Multiple souls surround us but no single one is near,
Relations are endless but with a constant fear.

Though the shelves are loaded but the stories are unread,
Still some conversations among us are left unfed.
Preachers are many but no practitioner instead,
Seems like we all in unison are living dead.

Let’s all initiate and open new door,
Extend our ears to hear some more.
Travel the silent shore and dare to be a beginner,
As it takes a great deal to be a good listener.
