Blurred Lines

Written

by Anne G

So blurred are the lines

of media and campaign

it is hard to distinguish

who’s who on the stage

Biased and

partial

intentional

barbs

Spin doctors

spinning

their woman

or man

Talking heads

talking

to sway

and control

Public opinion

through

poisonous

words

Personal glory

position and gain

dramatis personae

unsavory game

JUNE 2016 AUTHOR OF THE MONTH at Spillwords.com
Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
