Boast not human
You’re over a beast not
Beast is doomed to death
But so are you human
Beast bears no hint of death
Human owns this wisdom
But take no pride human
For it is this knowledge
that breeds fear –
Fear of breath’s mortality
Be not proud human
Beast enjoys no freedom
Unlike human
But ’tis that choice
That leads to sin –
Sin from abuse
of unchained will
Some beasts live shorter
While a man stays longer
But brag not human
For ’tis not how long
but how we live
that matters
The Son comes in salvation
Not for beast
but for human
But be not loud human
‘Coz salvation comes
for the sinful
Not for the innocent
Lift your head not human
Beast comes from dust
But so do you human
And boast never human
For in His time
To dust you both
will return…
