Butterflies and Moths

Butterflies and Moths

written by: Karoline Lesande

Butterflies are beautiful, admired and adored,
they grab attention easily, their faults often ignored.
Moths are creatures of the night, without a light they thrive,
it’s not the average boring things that make them feel alive.
Butterflies will rarely fly through darkness and despair,
they breeze through things so easily it can often feel unfair.
Butterflies know their own worth, they hardly doubt at all,
moths struggle with their self-esteem and feeling very small.
Place butterflies on pedestals then see their egos grow,
moths hide in corners daydreaming with souls that overflow.
Most butterflies fly average ways, moths fly above the norm,
butterflies are followers, don’t expect moths to conform.
