Come Away With Me

Come Away With Me

written by: Fotoula Reynolds

In the front room
She sits and warms
Her legs by the glass
The light-covered window
Flickers with orange leaves
Gently fanning in the breeze
The sun is in the tree
A kaleidoscope of autumn

In the agora she learned to trade
Mother’s day musings of
Bread dipped in olive oil
And oregano fingertips
A taste of home and childhood
Where drops of Mitera’s love
Filled her cup of longing with
Angel-song and never ending sky
