Covid-19

I see the cloths blowing in the wind,
the garden flowering in spring blooms.
Glorious skies of blue, clear and clean
A normal world.
A beautiful world.

What hidden danger lurking,
invisible to the eye.
It moves in a synchronised method.
With an unseen invisible thread.
Locking on to its pray.

Moving steadily from village to town,
from city to country.
From Island to mainland.
To every nook and cranny.
The enemy is at the gate.

How do we fight the invisible enemy,
when he creeps up unannounced.
We can’t predict where he will strike,
what he looks like, with the naked eye.
We see the results.

For so many who are left.
To a World we can’t live in.
An unseen spirit moving,
ghostlike, taking over our lives.
We will fight a good fight.

We will stay home alone.
We will fight in the laboratories.
We will fight in the hospitals.
We will find a cure.
We will survive.
