Dead Friends

written by: huntersjames

The sun sets every day I am sure
So why I wonder did this one pass me by?
Demons long dead we wonder
Scream back to life reminding what we cannot deny
Their songs faded long before this paper’s dust
Left in a verse their ink will ever color
Those they touched, melted by a spell of trust
Turning inward, look beyond the sky, see their friend alive.

done a lot of things,
some more worthwhile than others,
now I'm doin this
