Death

written by: LadyLily

@AFairymary

The sea awaits you, running, trickling.
Winds hustling, bustling rattling.
Your shadow, woven of roses, grand.
Life will thrive in the secret beyond!
Leave riches in a world of pretend.
Weak sunsets, false dawns, polluted ponds...
Now let the breeze sponge your face.
No more spilling, rolling of tears...
embrace
wings of whites, lifeless...
yet flutter in meadows
hosting a magnitude of mimosas.
Home...where daffodils weep gold a hundredfold
and poppies drip scarlet,
hunched lilies drown in fulsome fragrance,
saffron daisies with white feathered discs...
spin...spin...spin...
Luscious lavender scent-stains the air
and honeysuckle shreds threads of ribbon.
The crystal moon leans over,
listening to your goodbyes
and the sun’s chariot of marigold whispers stories untold.
Stars spit diamonds, flash, flare,
flickering and spearing while
the blackbird sails,
its silhouette smears tips of spruces.
Your heart explodes into deep red petals...
Close your eyes ...
You are home.
