Deferred

Deferred

written by: Sunil Sharma

When the sky turns yellow-red
and
the sun, no longer bright but
an
orange disc falling fast into
the blue arms of the restless
lake,

caught breathless
between soft light and dark,
that linked moment, intimacy
needing
articulation.

Same
summer, same golden hour
paint
shimmering silhouettes of
solitude.
