Delineation of the Heart

Delineation of the Heart

written by: Jim Miller

How does this unlearned one read you?
From what angle gives me a probing view
“Seeing is what you get?”
Or am I blind to a chunk of life buried deep?
Over which you secretly fret
style, symmetry and a heady scent
cryptic words float on the wind
I follow where they went
spying a glance
as inadvertently you pose
in a picturesque seductive stance
unparalleled is her mastery of the daily toils
tenacity unbridled and readily unleashed
upon schemes and ultimately ill-fated foils
Is insignificance the moniker of your night?
A highly anticipated respite?
Or is the dark the father of untold delight?
The dimming sun is at very best terse
telling this one to close the book
great joy be mine on the morrow
for I delve again into you…. Chapter and verse
