Our earth has survived all the change that has been inflicted upon it by man
These are categorised as The Stone Age The Bronze Age and lastly The Iron Age
There have been philosophers as well as scientists who have made huge discoveries
Although there have been as many mistakes made along the way to bring us to this stage
I cannot begin to imagine the consternation archaeologists of the future will feel
How will they survive what modern man has left them with, this, our Plastic Age
I will not wax lyrical, enthuse
or coin a pretty phrase
which might diminish or gloss
over my immense rage
I am a retired Scottish septuagenarian. I began to write at the start of the pandemic, entering lockdown and the world of words simultaneously. I have many hobbies, but writing helps to fill an insomniac's dark quiet hours. I've been lucky enough to see various poems and short stories published, online and in print.
