From the instant of our first meeting
your flame had drawn me in.
Captivated by an unfamiliar feeling,
my heart’s passion burnt from within.

But when the storm started to turn
and a terrible typhoon came upon,
that passion could no longer burn,
though we had loved for so long.

On the coldest nights I lay alone
searching through rubble for your glow.
Though I’m left longing on my own
I realise, that without you, I’ll be able to grow.
