NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A gestural portrait of Betty White occupies the left side of the image. It is rendered in strokes of yellow, caramel, brown, black, and gold. It depicts the star from the neck up, apparently wearing a top with a circular neckline. Her head is tilted slightly to the left, and she smiles softly. The words of the haiku occupy the right side of the image in black, loopy, Bickham Script Pro Regular font.

I am mostly a visual artist, but I like to create "found poetry", specifically daily haiku made from the statuses of my Facebook friends. It was my Mom who started this, and officially passed the responsibility onto me when she became too busy.
