Guess I’m the Fool

Guess I’m the Fool

written by: Nikol Pogorelovsky

Y’know, there’s a famous saying…
Where the sky is graying,
Clouds drift like restless whispers, straying.
And thunder hums distant, like a pre-warning.

Every time I’m with you,
I feel like my world turns blue.
And the deceiving voices of my own grew.
Yet I’m too blind to see it true.

Perhaps I’m the fool?
All say I should leave like a ghoul.
But my heart, a stubborn flame, won’t cool.
I cling onto the past like roots to a pool.

I know our love, it’s not true.
As if on cue, here she comes.
Like a moth glued to a flame.
Even I knew… this wasn’t right.
Guess I’m the Fool.
