HERE THERE BE DRAGONS

HERE THERE BE DRAGONS

There be dragons here.

Upon the hill and the top of trees and sliding along the horizon.
It is more than a mortal mind should bear should I shut my eyes and bind them?
In the depths of the deep, they rumble and roar, their tails whip strong a tempest.
And the boats and men that cannot swim are taken down and encompassed.

There be dragons here.

Like the shapes of wolves and serpents foul, that play out upon the moor. They howl and hiss with an evil breath that I’ve smelt mists under the door.
And I keep their story and I keep their song, they don’t bother with this old man.
They seek the dreams of infant screams to feast in their demand.

There be dragons here.

I am the keeper of their souls.
Let loose from a young man’s folly.
I alone know the horrible truth.
they will devour the world.
