Hidden Inside

Hidden Inside

I crumble like stone
into a void with no home

falling

I try to understand the pain
and trauma coming up

within a body and mind, a disease
no one can find

hidden

inside the elements of being
swimming upcurrent, no feeling

at times, only a shell of emptiness
comes to me in line

with a past, hard to stare into
a mirror for so many

yet we continue to pretend it’s all going to be okay

and, in time
I think it will be

while also knowing, being not okay
is as valid as someone else trying to save my day
