hope walks through fire
but faith leaps over it
it doesn’t sit
on laurels,
never begs or borrows
quick to quell quarrels
making mountains mild
and taming wilds
gaining glimpse
of forming plinth
its footing found
deep underground
a bedrock beneath
fortifying feeble means
so we can dream
because on faith
hope leans
