I Carry Darkness in My Eyes

I Carry Darkness in My Eyes…

written by: Umid Najjari (Ümid Nəccari)

Close the doors at night,
I carry darkness in my eyes.
… Look from the dark side of the candles
To the famine country.
Tears are rebelling to nights …
The hands of the clock are like the tails of a scorpion,
They sting the back of tomorrow.
Thus
There’s no difference for me
To be lost or to sleep …
My dictionary has no word for “How’re you?”
Don’t ask me, too
Come and throw out your selfness,
Enter the world of selflessness without yourself,
Once more,
Don’t call the police,
You can’t bring back the escaped one in you.

If somebody comes from heaven,
He can’t release your hug from the prison …
The homeland of us- a handful of soil in a pot!
… In the upper world, only the moon remains and a mirror.

Hi, the hungry crows!
God created Africa at midnight,
And the world became bread as big as a hand …
Forget the holes under your shoes
Take out your napkin,
Clean the forehead of the ashamed sun.
Come, only once
Live the loneliness instead of my hands …
