I Think I’m in a Pickle

I Think I’m in a Pickle

I think I’m in a pickle

Not the salty brine kind that is satisfying on a hot summer day

But the confused feelings of a summer fling that lingers on your lips

Only but

It’s not a fling or love on a warm summer breeze

It’s hurt and longing, a sad hand left cold with no touch

I love you and miss you, I want you and need you, I crave what I remember once was
And even though you’re “here”

I’m still terribly alone

Deep in my thoughts with tears stinging my cheeks….salty as the sea

Fuck

I think I’m in a pickle
