I Wish

I wish I spent more time with friends,
I wish those days would never end.
I wish I had more friends to call,
So I won’t feel so lonely after all.
I wish I watched more anime shows,
And played more games where freedom flows.
I wish I gained more knowledge each day,
And made more mistakes to learn along the way.
I wish I saw my family near,
All in one place, with hearts sincere.
I wish someone said, “Don’t worry I’m here,”
A voice to calm my every fear.
I wish I didn’t have a heart so true,
But still, I know — I love it too.
I wish the world was all in peace,
No hate, no sadness — only release.
I wish they knew and understood me,
And I understood them, just as deeply.
I wish, I wish — these dreams inside,
Some I keep, and some I hide.
Yet here I stand, still carrying on,
My wishes with me, never gone.
