Indestructible city of glass, steel and stone

built on Gneiss bedrock, millennia old

Towers that scrape azure blue skies

spires seen reaching heavenly heights

Implacable giants of industry and life

monuments to mankind's ingenuity and minds

Treasures of culture bequeathed by the world

civilizations in trust, memorialized in time

Empire City, Liberty's isle

Tower of Freedom, innocence lost

Indestructible Gotham, home to the world

mega metropolis - Manhattan, New York

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
