Indistinguishable

Indistinguishable

written by: Anthony John Ward

I’m on the atmosphere floor,
Beneath an ocean of air,
Watching the birds swim above me,
And the trees swaying
With the waves of wind.

Just like my thoughts,
That build on top of me,
Until my mind is buried
By the weight of the world
I carry on my shoulders.

The air is blue, just like the sea,
No-one can see the pressure
That’s bearing upon me,
Keeping my head down
As I trudge beside myself.

If they could see the water,
They’d see the physical burden,
But as air is invisible,
They see nothing troubling
That’s not troubling themselves.
