Just An Old House

Just An Old House

Just an old house falling apart,
along a mountain interstate.
Travelers abandoned their cars
or so it’s rumored by the locals.

Aged wood, no shingles on the roof,
just an old house falling apart.
Sitting vacant empty for years,
yet, daily cars are parked outside.

An odd unexplained mystery
to be told around the small town.
Just an old house falling apart,
a ghost story for the tourists.

Some swear when the moon is pregnant,
her light but silver beams at night.
Screams are heard coming from that place,
just an old house falling apart.
