Late Nights & Early Mornings

Late Nights & Early Mornings

written by: Rose Skelter

Laying there with stars in the sky
And your voice flowing through the night
A part of me finds myself falling again
It hit me like a freight train
All the words I wished to say
In the silence of the night
With the words shining in my eyes
Everything you saw in me
As well as all you’ve yet to see
But I couldn’t just sit there
I couldn’t just wait
For the light shown so bright
The water glinting in your eyes
Finding home in your arms
Comfort in the hope that you bring
It feels as though life is shining
Like the ocean waves singing your name
And the wind calling me to you
The moon is setting
And the sun is rising
And my heart is calling out your name
My words still searching for yours
My eyes still telling you all I wish to say
