Man, a poem by Miroslava Panayotova at Spilwords.com

Man

Man

written by: Miroslava Panayotova

A man changes
Undoubtedly
As the Day goes to Night
With feigned ignorance
He takes other steps
He loses his appetite
For harsh things
But keeps
A name
A little memory
And one color of the sky
If he could
Keep his appetite
For harsh things…
He would be young
But is it good to be young
“The old think it’s good.”
Sometimes the old think
But they feel more
A pain
Physical and not
They recognize
The unfallen tear
And why should it fall there
Where there is a swamp of tears
And corpses
